My wife liked their name in Chinese. I liked their name in English in English. Both their name and their Yelp reviews convinced me that Fat Wong's was worthy of trying. They are located on a busy street in San Bruno, not far from the many Chinese places in Millbrae in what looks like it used to be a drive through fast food restaurant. I went there for takeout 3 times in week during a recent business trip; so much that a few of the employees starting recognizing me. We ordered their wonton noodles, dumplings, beef stew and beef tripe. Everything was good. The wontons were large and full of pork and shrimp. My wife liked the dumplings. The noodles that came with our orders were nice and al dente. Both the beef stew and tripe was tender and full of flavor. We liked this place. We liked the price. We will be back when I travel up there for work again.

Great congee - we had the sampan one and the braised chicken one (large chicken pieces made it slightly cumbersome so some mixed opinions on this from our party). The you tiew was so freshly fried, everyone loved it. Also had curry fish balls, beef offal, and beef/shrimp cheung fun (different flavor for the beef then we were used to, would skip next time). Park on a residential street and do a short walk to the restaurant. Casual place. Would come again.

What a nice little restaurant! One of the best server we ever had!! She was honest enough to strongly suggest we order something else we had originally chosen! She said "Hmm.... you may not like this". One of them was "boiled chicken not thoroughly cooked / pink / bloody".... Who eats that sh__ ?? Apparently some customers do.... Thank god she recommended something else.... safer. We ordered four different dishes, and everything was delicious. Reasonably priced too. If I ever go back to Millbrae / San Bruno (hopefully not), I would definitely go back to Fat Wong's!

I'm so glad this place is open again for take out and dine in. We ordered take out an hour before closing, they didn't have anymore congee. I got the combination crispy noodles, egg and beef chow fun, salted fish and chicken fried rice and won ton soup. Everything was great.
